Okay, I know, I know. That title. Totally cheesy. But it’s October 28th and I’m putting together some last minute, easy-to-recreate Halloween looks. I guess a last-minute title fits the bill? I teamed up with my favorite affordable fashion brand, Fashion to Figure, to create a lookbook filled with Halloween goodness to get you ready for this weekend. I know babes are on a budget and let’s face it – some Halloween costumes are CRAZY expensive – so it’s always nice to have a festive, spooky look that can also be a part of your daily life after the parties are over.
look 01: Sleeping Beauty/Princess Aurora
Most of you know that I take my Disney VERY seriously – so putting this look together was super easy. I started with FTF’s Everyday Midi in Dark Pink as a base (these are actually my favorite plus size bodycon dresses – lightweight, chic and so affordable!) and grabbed my Aurora crown (from a seller on Etsy). Paired with pink and gold high heels and a blonde wig, I went from everyday mild-mannered blogger to Sleeping Beauty.
look 02: Maleficent
Obvi, Sleeping Beauty is my favorite Disney movie (remember when I got my husband to dress up as Prince Phillip?) so when I saw this gorgeous black bodycon (with leather detailing – so sexy) I knew I had to create a sexy Maleficent. Years ago, I came across a replica of her staff on Amazon – complete with crystal ball and crow (both plastic of course) and I snatched it up. You never know when you’re going to need to cast a curse, am I right?! Then I went to my local Halloween Store (Spirit Halloween) and found this super-glam glitter cape and movie-replica horns. Black shoes and some dark lipstick and voila! I’m the Queen of Evil.
look 03: Angelic Vibes
Not into Disney (what) or scary costumes? I get it. Not everyone wants Halloween to be a fear-fest. I think it’s so easy to dismiss the sexy angel vibe, but it shouldn’t be! Running around with a halo and wings is just… well, fun! An all white look is fresh and clean for Halloween and I added a pop of color with this gorgeous wig. Super simple to pull off!
look 04: Red Devil
I’m ending on the absolute classic. The sexy devil has been a staple at Halloween parties for as long as they have existed! This is another one that’s really easy to pull off: I simply grabbed a little devil set from my local Halloween store and I was good to go. But what brings this to life for me is the dress. The cape is so chic and would look amazing and fierce on any given day… but on Halloween, it adds a hint of devilish power to this classic costume.
Hope you loved these last minute costume ideas! Also! I have TWO NEW Disney-inspired costume tutorials live now on my youtube channel! Check out my re-creations of Snow White and Killian Jones from ABC’s Once Upon a Time.
