My Curvy Valentine: A Plus Size Blogger Collab
When Jolene approached me to do this collab, I’m pretty sure I yelled ‘YES!’ before she even finished asking. A Valentine’s Day collab with some of the hottest blogger babes on the internet?
Um, yes. Allll the yes. And when she showed up to our photo shoot with quintessential pink and red balloons, I swooned.
This Eloquii dress is the perfect combination of naughty-meets-nice. The cool-toned pink is reminiscent of Sweetheart’s candy, but the black detailing on the bodice and around the neck feels edgy and slightly 50 Shades of Grey. I don’t know about you, but I think it’s a fabulous combination for a romantic evening with your partner.
Here’s the best thing about collabs. You really do get to see everyone’s personal style shine through. Give us a topic, and we’ll all give you vastly different interpretations of it. While my Valentine’s Day look bordered more on the sweet-and-sassy side (if you’ve spent more than 5 minutes with me, then you know this to be a very accurate representation of me) – each girl’s look was like an insight into their personality.
The lovely Jolene went with a gorgeous fit-and-flare red sweetheart dress from Torrid in the most delicious red color – the look is all hopeless romantic.
My boo, Cynthia, went with a Victorian inspired chiffon dress in classic black with nude accessories. Cynthia’s style is so influenced by culture and history that this was a perfect romantic look for her – a throwback to a more refined era of romance.
Jeniese took a modern approach, mixing chic with a hint of girliness by pairing her black skirt with a striped top and adding in subtle elements like the heart detail on her sweater and shoes. It really speaks to her modern feminine vibe.
Jessica went full on sex-bomb in her look. And I would expect nothing less from the trailblazer. Her outfit aims to break all the rules and done in the most incredible way. She’s fun, fearless and fabulous.
Mary’s video is a candid look into a single girl’s quiet night at home in comfy clothes – prooving that you don’t need to be coupled up to look and feel fabulous on Valentine’s Day.
