One of the best transitional summer-to-fall colors is grey. Grey gets a bad rap – people are so quick to call it boring, basic and soul-sucking.
I feel quite the opposite. Grey is chic, classic and really can elevate an outfit when used in the right way. Look for grey tones in interesting textures like suede and lace. If you’re an all-black-everything kind of girl (soul sister!) then grey can be a great way to add some dimension to your look while staying in the dark colors
Happy March, everyone! I love the first day of a new month – it makes me feel like we have a clean slate and a fresh start to make this month better than the last. It also means that we’re on the precipice of wedding season! Just like last year, I’ll be bringing you a wedding week (with a twist this time) – but for now, I’m sharing a look that is totally wedding guest appropriate. Or, you know, Sunday appropriate, because girl – #WearWhatYouWant maxi dress c/o simply be by li
I can remember my hands shaking. Feeling light headed. Wondering how on earth I would keep this white dress clean. I worried a lot that day – mostly about tripping and breaking my corsage (I like to keep it old school). But never once did it cross my mind – not a single worry overcame me – as I married my best friend. We were kids: I was barely 19, he newly 22. The ceremony was over faster than I could blink.

Wedding season is upon us!
Who doesn’t love a good wedding?! While there is always a place in the world for gorgeous, huge ball gowns and Cinderella moments (you know I am all about that princess life!) – this week is about alternatives that not only feel more modern, but are incredibly budget friendly.
* A note: these looks will be great for rehearsal dinners or receptions too! The first look is all about the casual bride. I love this multi-way dress from SWAK. It’s incredi
Yesterday, January 20th, was our 14 year wedding anniversary. We met when I was 18, and we were young, broke and crazy in love. We didn’t wait long to get married (14 months after we met, actually) and had a quiet little ceremony in Sedona, Arizona. I can remember it like it was yesterday – putting on my dress, the nerves – followed by that quiet calm that I was doing the rightest thing in the world. Our entire wedding (dress and suit included) cost about $2000. I think the o
